Tayside Planetarium is a mobile planetarium business founded in 2022 by Matt Williamson.
We deliver memorable STEM education experiences to schools across Scotland. We also offer shows for other organisations, such as uniformed groups and other community groups, as well as events and private functions.
Matt Williamson
Matt is the founder and lead presenter of Tayside Planetarium.
Matt is a science communicator who has devoted the last decade to chatting with young people about science. He has a degree in chemistry and physics, and a belief that there is no such thing as a silly question.
In the past, Matt has worked for science centres, observatories, and planetariums, in Newcastle and Edinburgh. In that time, he has performed countless shows, met an astronaut or two, and fallen ever more deeply in love with the night sky.
