The mobile planetarium requires 7m x 7m clear indoor floorspace and 3.5m unimpeded height. Access to a standard electrical socket is also required.

pricing for schools
prices work out roughly £3-£6 per pupil
Visits are charged at full-day and half-day prices
Half-day: £355 ex. VAT (up to 4 shows)
Full-day: £595 ex. VAT (up to 7 shows)
Show durations can be tailored to fit the school day – from 40 minutes to 1 hour. We will provide example timetables at point of enquiry.
Travel cost is included in the above up to 100 miles round trip from DD5. Mileage thereafter is charged at 45p per mile ex. VAT. VAT charged at 20%.
pricing for uniformed groups
For Girlguiding, Scouts, and other uniformed groups
Standard package: £6 per head*
Leaders free (minimum price £120)*. A presenter led planetarium experience of up to 60 minutes.
Extended package: £8 per head*
Leaders free (minimum price £144)*. Includes the above, plus two of the following: meteorite handling, a further pre-recorded planetarium show, or in-hall planets activity. Comfort break included . Total activity time 90 minutes.

Prices that let you invite all their friends and classmates! Suitable for 7th Birthdays and older.
Standard package: £7 per child*
Adults free (minimum price £130)*. A presenter led planetarium experience of up to 60 minutes.
Extended package: £8 per child*
Adults free (minimum price £144)*. Includes the above, plus meteorite handling and a further pre-recorded planetarium show (and comfort break) . Total activity time 90 minutes.

The experience and pricning will be bespoke - but as long as you have a hall or other suitable venue, we'll gladly come along!

Tayside Planetarium is a member of the British Association of Planetaria, and the International Planetarium Society
